A Love of Learning

The Casa Montessori environment offers a full range of materials designed to stimulate the children's own natural desire to learn. In a non-competitive yet challenging setting, students are encouraged to work at their own level. Coordination, concentration, attention to detail, creativity and a healthy work cycle are facilitated using concrete materials in language, mathematics, geography, cultural, science, sensory training, and practical life areas (described in detail below). MindTech's Casa Montessori Program covers five distinct areas including:

Practical Life: enhances the development of a child's focus, concentration, task organization and cognitive order through care of self, care of the environment, exercises of grace, courtesy, and coordination of physical movement.

The Sensorial area: enables the child to order, classify, and describe sensory impressions in relation to length, width, temperature, mass color, pitch, taste, smell, etc.

Language Arts: includes oral language development, written expression, and reading through phonetics and understanding. The study of grammar, creative dramatics, poetry and children's literature plants the seed in the child to become a passionate reader.

Mathematics: comes alive in a Montessori classroom. The concepts of quantity, numeracy, sequencing, and all four mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division ) become second nature. Here the foundation of the child's strong logical mind is formed.

Cultural activities: invite the child to discover History, Geography, and Life Sciences, such as Biology, Botany and Zoology.  Music, Art and Physical Education and Spatial Movement are part of the integrated cultural and sports program.
