Early beginnings... MindTech’s Infant and Toddler Montessori Program
MindTech's Infant and Toddler Care Program is fully licensed by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children’s Services under the Daycare Nurseries Act (DNA). Programs are directed by Early Childhood Education (ECE) certified professionals and staffed by qualified, nurturing support staff. We recognize that not only do these young children need loving, emotional nurturance and a clean, healthy, physical environment, but also have a very real urgency to learn. We provide an environment as much like home as possible. Classes are small, with a caregiver-child ratio of 1:3 with infants and 1:5 with toddlers. Teachers model the gentle, thoughtful, intelligent behaviours that encourage similar socialization skills in the children. With the help of our staff and parents, each infant and toddler classroom has been designed and created to provide for a warm, caring and secure atmosphere. In all instances, detailed care has been taken to empathize and ease the child’s transition from one home to another.
Our Toddler Montessori Program gives children ages 18 months to 2.5 years the best possible start to their schooling. MindTech’s toddler program is designed to meet the unique individual and developmental needs of each child at this age. Together, Montessori trained teachers and ECE's provide developmentally appropriate, self-correcting and multi-sensorial materials and activities enhancing each child's physical, emotional, social, artistic and cognitive development. The Toddler program provides indoor and outdoor activities which encourage movement, language enrichment and independence, thus preparing the child for the Casa Montessori Program starting at age 2.5.
“Our aim is not to make the child understand, and still less to force him to memorize, but so to touch his imagination as to enthuse him to his inmost core”……Dr. Maria Montessori
